I make sissy barsone at a time

Hand-bent and welded in Falkland, British Columbia — then shipped anywhere in Canada or the lower 48. Build the one you want and you will have a price and a lead time before you send me a thing.

Who is doing the work

Just me,
in a shop in Falkland

I did not set out to be a welder. I tried a few other things first, did not much like any of them, and then picked the one that scared me most. That turned out to be the right call.

Everything with my name on it I bent and welded myself. There is no crew, no subcontracting, nobody finishing a bar I started. That is why there is a queue, and it is also why they come out the way they do.

I am in Falkland, between Vernon and Kamloops, and most of what leaves here goes a lot further than that.

Work out the damage

Build yours

Six taps and you will know roughly what it runs and how long it takes. Nothing gets sent anywhere and I do not want your email just to show you a number.

Pick something I do not do and it will say so right there, instead of taking your details and leaving you waiting a week for an answer that was always going to be no.

What I take,
and what I don't

Saying it here saves us both a week. If what you want is on the right, I am not your person, and I would rather you knew that now than after you had paid me a deposit.

✓Yes

  • Sissy bars for hardtails, softails, sportsters and dynas
  • Mounts built from scratch if you have not got them
  • Cut-work, lettering and one-off art pieces
  • Raw, clear coat and powder coat
  • Shipping across Canada and the lower 48

×Not me

  • Chrome plating — that goes to a shop that does only that
  • Touring bikes with factory luggage racks
  • Frame work, hardtail conversions, anything structural
  • Repairs to somebody else's bar
  • Rush jobs for next weekend, whatever you offer

How it goes

01

Build it here

Use the builder. You get a range, a lead time, and a straight answer if it is something I do not take on.

02

I write back

Usually inside a day. The real number, what is in it, when I could start. By email, so you can read it back.

03

Half down

Fifty percent puts you in the queue, the rest before it ships. You get photos while it is being built, not just at the end.

04

It ships

Boxed properly, tracked. If it does not fit when it lands, tell me and we sort it out.

Questions

How long does one take?
Two to four weeks for a standard bar once the deposit is in. Art pieces run five to eight because of the cut work. Summer is busier than winter.
Can I send a drawing?
Yes, and most people do. A napkin sketch and a photo of the bike is plenty.
Do you ship to the States?
Lower 48, yes. Shipping is quoted separately because it depends on the box and where it is headed.
I do not know my mount situation.
Pick 'not sure' and send a photo of the back of your bike. I can tell from a photo nine times out of ten.
Why is there no phone number?
Because I am usually under a hood with a grinder running and I would miss it. Email means you get everything in writing, and so do I.
Can I see one first?
There are a few hundred of them on my Instagram, and I post the builds as they happen.
Last step

Tell me
what you want

Build it above first if you have not, then send it over with a photo of the back of your bike. I write back, usually inside a day.

No phone number, on purpose I am usually under a hood with a grinder running and I would miss the call. Email means you get everything in writing and so do I — the spec, the price, the dates. Nobody has to remember what was said on a Tuesday.

A copy comes to you by email the moment you send it, so you have it in writing too.
